The World’s Largest Rock Memorabilia Collection:

Hard Rock Café International, Inc. owns the largest and most extensive collection of rock memorabilia in the world! Valued at more than $18 million dollars, it includes in excess of 52,000 individual pieces and is growing all the time! Dubbed by Andy Warhol as being the “Smithsonian of Rock’n’Roll,” the awe-inspiring memorabilia collection celebrates music icons past and present and is showcased around the globe!

In order to act as a true “living museum,” Hard Rock’s musical treasures are rotated every five years and its collection is constantly being expanded through auction houses, donations, private collections, and constant
interaction with the entertainment industry. A full-time staff oversees all aspects of the Hard Rock collection—from initial procurement and cataloguing, to its maiden installation at a Hard Rock location.

Some of the more valuable pieces include Elvis Presley’s 1976 Harley Davidson with a custom blue and gold finish, a Jimmy Hendrix Gibson Flying V Guitar used on Rainbow Bridge, the Beatles’ Magical Mystery Tour Bus, and Bo Diddley’s first hand-made guitar.

Hard Rock’s Collectable Merchandise:

All Hard Rock merchandise is city-specific and integral to its collectability; there is no one single location where you can purchase all of them.

The merchandise line ranges from the highly-coveted lapel pin, our “wearable art,” to the leather Bomber jacket—a fashion worn by celebrities and even royalty! The mega-selling classic Hard Rock T-Shirt and its sweatshirt counterpart are the most popular selling items collected zealously by Hard Rockers worldwide!

The first full-service merchandise shop opened in New York in 1988.
